MERRY CHRISTMAS!!! Season’s Greetings! This is a most exciting time to be a Titchfield alumni. We stand tall and proud as our record of excellence is increasingly reflected in the outstanding accomplishments of the students, faculty, staff, and alumni. The spirit of the season is indeed alive within the South Florida Alumni chapter and I am personally very grateful for your support and goodwill. As we move into our 12th year of existence, I would like to take a moment to express my sincere appreciation to you for supporting us. I would also like to thank you for all of your feedback and suggestions. Your input is vital to our continued success. Your membership and support made a difference in 2011 - Your partnership is invaluable in 2012. While I’m thankful that 2011 will soon be over, there is certainly a lot more to be thankful for as well. My health has remained good and my family has stayed healthy and for that I give thanks. I hope that you and your family also enjoyed good health throughout the year. We carry in our hearts the memory of lost friends family members and colleagues. Titchfield is a caring community where the struggle of one of us is a concern for all of us. We reach out to each other in times of need and work together to build a better community. Together, we have overcome a most difficult year – illnesses, job losses, austere budgets and reorganizations. Personally, I am hoping that in 2012 we will all see an upswing in the economy and a fall in unemployment rates. The Alumni Association will undergo a fairly big transition come our annual meeting in January 2012. As most of you know, my term as president has expired and I am confident that our incoming president, Paul Perry, will guide our organization to even higher levels of achievement in the coming years. I am sure that under his leadership TAATHS will continue to nurture a positive and supportive atmosphere. The South Florida chapter is successful because of our integrity, tenacity, pioneer spirit, leadership, commitment, drive, passion, camaraderie and a genuine desire to help others. Together, collectively, we have seen amazing things happen - visions have been created, goals were structured and aspirations that started out as ideals, more often than not, became tangible realities. Our success is a testimony to each and every one of you. We have worked together, argued together, shared our problems and hopes together and established ourselves as a team - not always in agreement, but always together. This is an organization of leaders. Every volunteer plays a vital role. I am reminded of the saying “When you see a frog at the top of a flagpole, he didn’t get there by himself.” To the entire South Florida core team - I cannot thank you enough for your dedication, hard work and selflessness year after year, event after event, to insure the success of our undertakings. I think that we, as a team, truly understand what it means to “give back. My personal thanks to each of you for your love, friendship, and encouragement over the years. I may be retiring from the Presidency but I’m not going anywhere. So Paul, if I sometimes over-step my authority, know that it is well-intentioned and just force of habit…or maybe I’m just “PUSHY”? Thank you for the happy memories that I will take with me, thank you for the opportunities that were offered to me and thank you for the friendships forged over the years we spent together. As another successful year comes to an end I would like to take a few moments to thank the alumni community for your contribution to the South Florida Alumni chapter during 2011, and to extend my best wishes to you and your family for the coming year. I pray that you find time to set aside the demands of our fast-paced lives and share in the joy of the season with your loved ones. In this Blessed time of year let us remember to share the gift of God's love and be ever mindful that all that we have, and all that we give to benefit others, comes from Christ's unconditional and enduring love. May the Peace of the Almighty, which surpasses all understanding, be with each of us in the coming year! Merry Christmas from my family to yours. May your 2011 Holiday Season be a truly happy one and may 2012 indeed be filled with Peace and Grace and be a year of Growth and Prosperity for you and your family. God Bless You All |
